Abstract

Financial literacy socialization program for rural youth was implemented as part of community service activities at SMPN 4 Gunung Bintang Awai, Wayun Village, South Barito Regency. This program aims to provide basic understanding of financial concepts to junior high school students who are in a period of cognitive growth and development. The method used includes interactive presentations, case study discussions, and practical simulations of financial management. The program was conducted on August 8, 2024, involving 45 students of SMPN 4 Gunung Bintang Awai. The results showed increased understanding of basic financial concepts among students, with 80% of participants demonstrating improved knowledge in post-activity evaluations. This program helps students understand good financial management concepts, learn to save, manage expenses, and make wise financial decisions. The success of this program indicates the importance of early financial education in rural areas to prepare financially literate young generations.
