Active Posyandu: Stunting Prevention Efforts in Wayun Village

Active Posyandu program for stunting prevention was implemented as part of community service activities in Wayun Village, Gunung Bintang Awai District, South Barito Regency. This program aims to strengthen the role of Posyandu in early detection and prevention of stunting through regular monitoring of children's growth and development. The method used includes weight measurement, height measurement, head circumference measurement, arm circumference measurement, PIN polio drops administration, and stunting prevention education. The program was conducted on July 15, 23, and August 10, 2024, involving 25 toddlers and their mothers. The results showed improved understanding of mothers about stunting prevention, with 80% of participants demonstrating increased knowledge in post-activity evaluations. This program provides benefits for children's growth and development, and encourages positive attitudes and behaviors of mothers and toddlers in stunting prevention efforts. The success of this program indicates the importance of strengthening Posyandu functions as the frontline in stunting prevention at the village level.
