Village Signage in Wayun: Navigation Solutions for Transmigration Village

Village signage program in Wayun Village was implemented as part of community service activities in Wayun Village, Gunung Bintang Awai District, South Barito Regency. This program aims to improve village navigation system through the installation of directional road and alley signs to facilitate village identity recognition and help residents and visitors find locations easily. The method used includes location survey, sign design and production, hole digging, concrete mixing, and sign installation. The program was conducted on August 5-6, 2024, installing 11 signs covering 6 main roads and 5 village alleys. The results showed improved navigation accessibility for residents and visitors, with 90% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the new signage system. This program provides benefits in facilitating access to religious facilities such as mosques and churches, cemeteries, and other public facilities. The success of this program demonstrates the importance of basic infrastructure development in supporting the social and economic activities of transmigration villages.
